buggy tour

Let one of our guides take you on a scenic buggy drive along our breath-taking 5 Mile Beach, where you can spot incredible wildlife and soak in the pristine landscape. Stop for a picnic and enjoy the serenity before you cruise back to the Retreat. Fishing rods for beach fishing can be provided upon request.

Head out in one of our fishing boats with a guide to discover our secret fishing spots hidden down the estuaries winding around the Retreat. Dependant on tide times, you will be able to catch mud crabs by pulling up or putting down crab pots, or simply target the elusive barramundi, threadfin salmon, or so many other species. Once you bring your catch back to the Retreat, our resident chef will prepare an incredible Asian or Indigenous influenced dish.

Tiwi By Design
cultural tour

Hit the road with our guide and travel through Bathurst island to Wurrumiyanga where you will join the team at Tiwi Design for a unique Indigenous arts and cultural experience at the local arts centre. Listen to the stories of life and culture on the Tiwi Islands before participating in an exclusive ‘behind-the-scenes’ screen printing workshop, where you can create your own take home souvenir. You will also be given a tour of the local museum and old church which are bursting with culture and history. Damper and tea are included.

blue water

This deep sea charter takes you to the most remote, pristine fishing environments in the Top End. Targeting popular tropical species including blue salmon, thread-fin salmon, jewfish, golden snapper, and so much more. Our custom-built Catamaran, experienced skipper and deckhand, fishing equipment and packed lunch, will guarantee an enjoyable time out on the water, and your chance to catch your trophy fish.

Helicopter Scenic Flight & ranku swimming hole tour

Enjoy an exhilarating helicopter journey above picturesque Tiwi Island landscapes. You’ll have the opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the Tiwi Islands, including beautiful coastlines, dense forests and rugged terrain. After the journey, you’ll land at the secluded waterhole at Ranku, surrounded by vegetation and rock formations. The Helicopter Scenic Flight & Ranku Swimming Hole tour is the perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty and relaxation. A gourmet picnic hamper is included for this tour.

Tiwi Heli fishing

Access the Tiwi Islands most secluded and hard to reach fishing spots. With high-quality fishing equipment and an experienced local guide/pilot, the odds are in your favour to land a barramundi. If you’re after an action-packed adventure, then this option is for you.

fine art experience

If Indigenous culture and art are your passion and you’re left itching for more, then this is the experience for you. Get whisked away in a helicopter and transfered to Milikapiti on Melville Island where you can take in all things culture, art and history. One of the respected local artists will escort you on an exclusive tour of the Jilamara Art Centre and Muluwurri Museum. You will learn about art and culture from those who live it, as you soak in the beautiful views of Melville Island along the way. This is a once in a lifetime experience where you have the opportunity to purchase indigenous art from one of the most renowned galleries in Australia.
